Since 2003, Patagonia Sur has been a fundamental piece in the maritime-port development strategy of the Magallanes Region, driving the economic growth of different industries by enabling better supply.
Privileged location
The Patagonia Sur Maritime Terminal has a strategic location for the different industries in the area, as it is 4 km from Puerto Natales and 2 km from Teniente Julio Gallardo Aerodrome.
Located in the Seno de Última Esperanza, it has a privileged geography that allows strategic shelter for all types of vessels, facilitating their anchorage and providing safe shelter.
Large docking pier
With more than 412 m of extension, Patagonia Sur has a pier that allocates 212 m of external docking front and 200 m of internal docking front, which can accommodate docking of vessels up to 144 m in length, including usual dimensions of national and international cruise ships arriving in the area.
This is the maximum length allowed for vessels entering Seno de Última Esperanza, according to the current legal restrictions corresponding to Angostura Kirke and Canal White, which responds to the great demand for vessels that transport large volumes of passengers that drive tourism in the region.
